Among Curts’ more unique problem solutions are those having to do with devices intended for implantation in the human body.
Depending on the materials from which they are fabricated, the possibility
of toxic reactions can occur in such cases,
deposition of a non-toxic coating has eliminated the problem. Another unique problem was the creation of a pressure transducer using concentric glass
tubes. The inside surface of the outer tube and the outside surface of the inner tube were metallized to form an air dielectric capacitance transducer.
