Curtis has long employed thin film techniques for optical purposes. Representative  applications are neutral density filters, reflective and anti-reflective coatings. The filters find use in connection with specialized TV cameras, while the reflective/anti-reflective surfaces, which can  be responsive an the visible, IR or UV ranges, are employed in connection with analytic equipment and other applications.
